6/10/2024 to 6/14/2024
Becoming an urban xplorer is as simple as taking a step outdoors. In this summer camp for ages 9-12, participants will xplor the wonders of nature by learning outdoor skills and utilizing nature within art. They will learn to shoot a bow, get to know our animal ambassadors, and discover nature in the neighborhood. Make plans now to become an urban xplorer this summer.
Programming will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, with before care beginning at 7:30 and after care going until 5:30 p.m. Both the camp and the extended care are free of charge.
Applications will be available starting April 1 and can be picked up at the Discovery Center or accessed online at mdc.mo.gov/discoverycenter. Applications will be accepted through April 30, and accepted applicants will be notified by May 6. Participation in the camp is limited to 60 individuals, and application is required.
This program is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri State Parks and the Missouri Parks Association's Urban Populations Outreach Program.
