5/11/2024 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO
Cuivre River State Park will host Camp Sherwood Beautification Day on Saturday, May 11, to help staff prepare the camp for incoming summer campers. Camp Sherwood has been a part of the Troy community for over 80 years and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
During this event, volunteers will assist staff with a variety of camp beautification projects that will spruce up the camp for visitors. Projects will include cleaning camp dishes, sweeping the buildings, blowing leaves, and more. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon, but volunteers can stay for as long or as little as they want. Volunteers should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. to check in and sign paperwork. Lunch will be provided for volunteers.
Scout and civic groups are encouraged to join us; we just ask that children have plenty of adult helpers. There will be projects for volunteers of all ages.
To ensure there are enough supplies and lunches for everyone, preregistration is required. Call the park office at 636-528-7247 for more information or to register.
Event Time: 9 a.m. - noon
