10/21/2023 | Current River State Park | Salem, MO
Foraging has become increasingly popular in recent years; however, most people do not realize they can forage year-round, not just in spring and summer. In this hands-on class, you will learn about wild edibles that are available in late fall and how to process grains and nuts into flours and candies. You will also learn about sustainable and responsible foraging.
The classroom section of this program will cover information on the plants we will be looking for and how to process them. This will be followed by an outdoor portion, in which we will forage for our supper. You will learn how to process what we have collected and will then get to eat the final product.
Space in limited, and registration is required. For more information or to register for this class, contact Connie at 573-751-1224 or Connie.Weber@dnr.mo.gov.
