Join us at Current River State Park on June 24 or 25 for our Spring Wild Edibles class. Space is limited, so sign up fast to secure your spot.
Participants in this hands-on “forage-to-table” class will learn a wide range of edible plants that can be gathered from their own front yards. The day will start with a light breakfast, followed by a discussion of foraging etiquette and what we will be foraging. We will divide into groups to forage for our supper. This could be up to a mile hike/walk forage as you go.
There will be a wide range of wild finger foods to sample for lunch. Everyone will help prepare supper, eat, and clean up.
Participants should bring the following items:
- Walking shoes
- Water bottle
- Gloves
- Jump drive – for a copy of the presentation
