Enjoy a guided overnight camping experience with Missouri State Parks staff. Participants will learn introductory camping skills and spend a night under the stars in Camp Shawnee at Knob Noster State Park.
This program is meant for everyone and is designed to be a brief introduction to camping for families. No experience or equipment is necessary; however, participants are welcome to bring their own camping supplies. Activities will include outdoor cooking, camping basics, fire building, night hiking, birding, nature journaling, and an exploration of Leave No Trace Principles.
Registration and fees are required. The per-person costs are $10 for ages 18 and older and $5 for ages 6-17, while children 5 and under are free. Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
