Start the new year off with a guided hike at Crowder State Park! We will offer two hikes:
10 a.m. – 3.2-mile hike on Tall Oaks Trail – Meet Anna at the Shelter 3 parking lot for this hike that showcases the diversity of habitats at Crowder State Park. This is a moderately difficult hike.
1 p.m. – 3.8-mile hike on Thompson River Trail, North Loop – Meet Anna at the equestrian parking lot for this hike that allows visitors to pass by the Thompson Cemetery, the Thompson House and the Thompson River. The equestrian parking lot can be reached by traveling west on Highway 146 from the park entrance for 1.3 miles. Turn right onto Northwest 52nd Avenue and continue for 2.1 miles. Turn right onto Dove Lane. Dove Lane ends in the equestrian parking lot. This trail has moderately difficult hills.
Both hikes are free and open to the public. Participants should wear closed-toe walking shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water. The durations of the hikes will depend on each group's pace.
