Park trails are temporarily closed to equestrian and bicycle use due to muddy conditions. The soonest they may reopen is Feb. 26.

Trail of Four Winds is closed to horses and bicycles until further notice due to muddy conditions from recent rainfall.

The boat ramp is temporarily closed due to area flooding.

The following areas are temporarily closed due to hazardous conditions from winter weather:

-- William's Creek picnic area
-- equestrian trail access
-- church and school road
-- beach area parking lot

Users of the paved lake trail are encouraged to use caution as there are some icy spots on the east side of the trail. All other areas of the park are open under normal off-season operations.

Confederate Memorial State Historic Site is temporarily closed due to hazardous conditions from winter weather.

Feb 22, 2018 - Feb 28, 2018

While the historic site is typically closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the off-season, use of heavy equipment to remove a large tree in front of the site is forcing the shutdown of Belleview Avenue. All visitors are encouraged to avoid the area between Tues., Feb. 27 and Wed., Feb 28.

It is anticipated that the historic site will open to visitor on Thurs., March 1 per normal, off-season operations.

The following areas are temporarily closed due to flooding:

-- St. Francois River Boat ramp
-- Campground 1 and boat ramp entrance gate
-- accessible bike/walking path
-- Campground 2 

The rest of the park is open under normal, off-season operations.

The lake road is temporarily closed due to hazardous conditions from winter weather.

Feb 15, 2018 - Mar 15, 2018

Due to construction work on the campground road, the campground will be closed until Fri., March 16. 

All other portions of Crowder State Park will remain open under normal off-season operations.

Portions of White River Valley Trail will be closed during the dates below to allow for hunting seasons on Corps of Engineers property.

Feb 14, 2018 - Feb 27, 2018

Due to the wet conditions, Opossum Hollow Trail is temporarily closed to bicyclists, and McAdoo Trail temporarily closed to equestrian users.

All trails are opened to hikers. Please be careful of debris, wet, or muddy areas of the trails. We anticipate reopening the trails for normal use which includes equestrian and bicycling on Feb. 27.

Feb 13, 2018 - Jun 10, 2018

The ORV riding area will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018. The Leadbelt National Enduro will be held during that time.

Feb 9, 2018 - Mar 15, 2018

Certain areas of the park will be closed to the public on Feb. 14 through Mar. 15 for special wildlife surveys. Closed areas will be signed during the survey periods, typically occurring Monday through Thursday.

Areas affected are:
-- the entirety of Wilderness Trail

Anyone planning to backpack Wilderness Trail should avoid these dates. Firearms may be used in the closed areas, so visitors in the remainder of the park may hear this activity.
