The vault toilet located in the special use camping area is temporarily closed until further notice. A portable toilet has been made available for users of the special use camping area.
The boat launch at Public Beach 1 is temporarily closed due to low lake levels.
Certain areas of the park will be closed to the public on Feb. 23 and Feb. 27 through Mar. 2 in preparation for special wildlife surveys. Park visitors may see extra staff in those locations prior to the actual closures. Closed areas will be signed during the survey periods.
Areas affected are:
-- the entirety of Wilderness Trail
-- the entirety of Natural Wonders Trail
-- road access to the cabin area
The historic site is under a burn advisory until further notice. Contained charcoal fires used for cooking as well as gas and cook top stoves are highly recommended during this time. Open fires such as campfires are not recommended due to continued windy and dry conditions.
Due to culvert installations, the Visitor Center Road will be temporarily closed beyond the South Shelter beginning Feb. 27th. Access to the campground, Marina day use area and park office will only be accessible from the Ironwood Avenue entrance. It is anticipated to reopen on March 4th.
Detour directions: Follow US-36 E to State Highway O. Take the Missouri O exit from US-36 W. Follow Hickory Street and Ironwood Avenue to Visitor Center Road.
The LaBarque Hills Trail is temporarily closed until further notice due to construction of the trailhead.
Two showerhouses in Campground 1 will be temporarily closed in order to allow for the construction of their replacement. Visitors should be aware facilities may not be available at times during construction.
The showerhouse in Raccoon Ridge Campground will be temporarily closed from Tuesday, September 5 to Monday, September 18, 2017 in order to allow for building maintenance. The showerhouses in Buck Ridge and Thorny Ridge will still be available.
Portions of White River Valley Trail will be closed during the dates below to allow for hunting seasons on Corps of Engineers property.

The ORV riding area will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017. The Leadbelt National Enduro will be held during that time.
Lincoln Hills Road is temporarily closed at various times during the winter months due to inclement weather and icy road conditions. During these times of road closure, the main campground can be accessed from Walker Road. Cheatham Road will also be closed during these times. The boat launch area is also closed. The visitor center is open during the week and closed on the weekends.
The main portion of the boat launch ramp is temporarily closed and both courtesy docks are unavailable for use until further notice due to low water conditions. One lane of the ramp which extends farther out into the lake remains open for use.
During open hours of the Sgt. Darrell S. Cole Memorial Shooting Range, a one-mile section of the park's bicycle trail will be closed to ensure visitor safety. The affected section is between mile markers 6 and 7. During the winter, this closure will be Thursday-Saturday. Further information on hours can be accessed on the Mineral Area College website.
