Due to the recent pouring of a concrete drive leading to the ADA parking at the Weston Bend State Park Dog Park the ADA parking site for the dog park will be unavailable beginning May 26 through Monday, June 5th when the concrete will be cured and ready for vehicular traffic. 

During this time the dog park will remain open and all other parking areas for the dog park are unaffected.

The areas below remain closed due to recent flooding:

-- modern restrooms
-- South Loop Trail
-- pedestrian entrance at Kircher Park

All other areas of the park are open under normal operations.

The following areas are temporarily closed to allow for flood clean up and repairs:

-- campsite 194
-- access to Cane Bottom area

All other areas of the park are open under normal on-season operations.

The park is open from the entrance to the lower picnic area (near the Meramec River).  

The following areas remain closed due to flood damage or flood repair:

-- park office
-- playground
-- picnic shelter #2
-- River Scene Trail from the lower picnic area to Lincoln Field
-- White Connector 3 on the Grotpeter Trail

All other areas of the park are open under normal operations. 

May 25, 2017 until further notice

Campground 1 is opening Friday, May 26.  Please arrive after 9am. There will not be a showerhouse at campground 1. Extra port-a-potties will be brought in for the holiday weekend.

Campground 2 and the Equestrian Campground are open. Equestrian campers should note there are some trail closures; check with park staff on arrival for more information.

The swimming beach at Finger Lakes State park is closed for the 2017 season to allow for dam renovations.

May 24, 2017 - Jun 9, 2017

The pool at Big Lake State Park has undergone extensive repairs this spring, and repairs are still underway.  Opening of the pool for the 2017 season will not take place until Friday, June 9th.

The following areas are temporarily closed until further notice due to flooding:

-- Asher Creek Campground
-- the road to Allison Point day use area
-- Marina Road
-- several sections of trails are water-covered
-- swim beach

All other areas of the park are open under normal operations. 

May 23, 2017 until further notice

The following areas are currently affected by flood damage and not accessible to trail users.  

Closed to all access
-- MM 34 - 35 (effective April 30, 2017)
-- MM 149.8 to 153.6 between Claysville and Hartsburg. Users in this area can use East Hartsburg Bottom Road to detour around flood damaged areas. Users should be cautious of rough surface due to flood damage. (effective May 11, 2017)

Park trails are temporarily closed to equestrian and bicycle use due to muddy conditions. The soonest they may reopen is May 27.

May 23, 2017 - May 30, 2017

Due to the wet conditions, Opossum Hollow Trail is temporarily closed to bicyclists and McAdoo Trail temporarily closed to equestrian users. All trails are opened to hikers.

Please be careful of debris, wet, or muddy areas of the trails. We anticipate reopening the trails for normal use which includes equestrian and bicycling on May 27.

Mississippi River Campground is temporarily closed due to flooding.

Campers with reservations April 28 through May 30 will be contacted regarding their refund.

The swim beaches at Harry S Truman State Park are temporarily closed until further notice due to flooding.
