Hikers and equestrians wishing to camp on McAdoo Trail must register before starting their trip. Camping is limited to two designated pack-in sites. The fee for camping is $10 per night, per site. Please pay at the park office when you arrive. If you arrive after 3 p.m., payment can be given to the campground host at Site 2 in the main campground.
- Sites are only available April 1 through Oct. 31.
- Camping is only allowed at designated sites. Checkout time is 2 p.m. on the day of departure.
Overnight parking for campers is allowed at the trailhead located near Camp Bobwhite off Highway DD. To get to the pack-in sites, follow the white connector color along McAdoo Trail for approximately 0.2 mile; the campsites are on the right. Trailhead location: 38.73993, -93.61366.
