Choose to make a healthy, fresh start this New Year by joining this guided hike on the park’s popular Shut-in’s Trail. This relaxing stroll will venture through bottomland forest past talus slopes, giant cane breaks, and end at the shut-in’s swimming hole. Learn this winter what makes the Shut-in’s Trail such an enjoyable trail to experience and love. This 3-mile round trip hike is easy to moderate.
Remember to wear sturdy footwear, bring snacks and water, and dress for the weather. The hike will be canceled in the case of inclement weather as the park may not be accessible in certain winter weather conditions. Please call 573-856-4411 for cancellation information or if you have any questions.
Hike time: 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Meeting Location: Mudlick Trail trailhead across from the park store
