5/7/2016 | Onondaga Cave State Park | Leasburg, MO
The park, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Missouri Department of Conservation, will host an April Trash Bash event as part of their ongoing No MOre Trash statewide litter campaign. In 2005, the park adopted a 3-mile stretch of Highway H just outside the park boundaries doing our part to assist these agencies cooperatively and keep unsightly litter from building up along our roadways. The public is invited to assist in our adventure! We will meet at the visitor center at 10 a.m. for a short safety video and distribution of vests and trash bags. Glove supply is limited; please bring gloves with you. Wear sturdy boots or shoes and dress appropriately for changing weather conditions. If the weather cooperates, there are other areas of the park that volunteers could participate in litter cleanup. Hot dogs and chips will be provided for lunch after the event compliments of the Onondaga Friends Association.
