Museum After Hours: Quick and Devilish: Traditional Fiddle and Dance Music

10/7/2015 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City, MO

Traditional fiddle and dance tunes will fill the rotunda as Howard Marshall, Ph.D., author of “Play Me Something Quick and Devilish:  Old Time Fiddlers in Missouri” leads the program on Missouri’s fiddling heritage. Sharing the stage will be fiddler Dale Pauley, guitarist Russ Ravert, Bill Foley on banjo, and Kathy Gordon on bass. Enjoy rousing melodies while learning about the music and people behind the state’s fiddling traditions.

The program continues the museum's ongoing series, "Museum After Hours," held the first Wednesday of each month. In addition to the program, the museum's galleries will be open until 9 p.m.

The program will be held on the first floor of the Missouri State Capitol rotunda.  Click here to read the news release.
