Historic site staff invites families to participate in the nationwide Great American Campout. Step back in time and experience 19th century living as interpreters and park staff offer historic demonstrations, tend the fire and prepare your dinner and breakfast. This event will be held in the historic site’s beautiful backyard, so bring your tents, sleeping bags, lawn chairs and flashlights. Staff will be on hand to assist with setting up tents if needed. Activities will include campsites, a campfire, historic demonstrations, campfire dinner and breakfast, s’mores, and more!
There is a $25 fee per family of 6 or less ($5 per additional person) and space is limited. Families are required to register by calling 636-940-3322 or stopping by the site.
Event times: Saturday, 6 p.m. - Sunday, 10 a.m.
