9/6/2014 | St. Francois State Park | Bonne Terre, MO
This year, St Francois State Park will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Before it was a park, the area known as the Pike Run Hills was home to a small community of miners, farmers and even moonshiners. To celebrate the lives of the people who called the area home, the park will hold a living history event featuring historic demonstrations, including blacksmithing, basket making, rope making, Ozark games, mining, a moonshine still, cross cut saws and much, much more! Live music will be performed throughout the day and a ribbon cutting will be held.
