Museum After Hours: Good Old Fashioned Medicine

10/3/2012 to 10/4/2012 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City, MO

In October, the Missouri State Museum will continue to have “Museum after Hours” when museum galleries will stay open until 9 p.m. Also, at 7 p.m., a program entitled “Good Old Fashioned Medicine” will be presented. Have you ever wondered what people did before modern medicine? What tools did doctors use to help people? What medicines did they use for illnesses before antibiotics? Step back into the days of apothecary kits and scarificatores to get an idea what the world of medicine was like in the “olden” days. This program will take place in the museum classroom, which is located in the History Hall (east wing).

Event times: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
