Spring Kids Free Fishing Day

Children 15 and under will get to fish free on this day. A special designated fishing area will be provided for children, although they can fish anywhere in the park.  Fly tying and fly casting demonstrations will be available along with exhibits displaying fish and animals common to the area.  Presentations on snakes, mammals and other animals will be provided during the day. Hot dogs and soda will be provided for lunch. There will be random drawings for door prizes throughout the day. Children must be present to claim their prize. Children's free fishing tags can be picked up at the hatchery office the night before the event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or all day Saturday during the event. All children must pick up their tag before fishing.
