Previous flood events have deposited significant debris along the stream bank that extends from the park’s campground gravel bar along the Meramec River to the boat launch in the day-use area of the park. Volunteers are being sought to assist in this cleanup effort. If time permits, trash will also be cleaned up along the creek that flows throughout the picnic and shelter area. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided. Reservations for this event are not required but are encouraged. To make a reservation, call 573-245-6576, ext. 221.
