Wakonda State Park will host its annual Spooktacular Halloween event on Saturday, Oct. 25. Registered campers may choose to participate in the campsite decorating contest, for which prizes will be awarded to the top three sites.
There will also be campground trick-or-treating that is open to both campers and day-use visitors. To limit congestion and promote safety, trick-or-treaters will park at the Wakonda Beach parking lot and be transported to the campgrounds by tram.
All activities are free, but regular camping fees apply. Camping reservations can be made online or by calling 877-422-6766.
