Celebrate Missouri Archaeology Month at Mastodon State Historic Site! We have several free activities planned for the day.
Kids will get to experience what it's like to be an archaeologist through a series of interactive activities involving digging, discovering and playing. Plus, visitors of all ages will have a chance to try the ancient technique of throwing spears with an atlatl. We're excited to be joined by the Missouri Archaeological Society, who will be on-site with pieces of the past and stories to share.
Archaeology Day will take place in and around museum. Museum admission fees will be waived during the event.
