Although a regular campground for individual campers is not available, a special-use camping area with limited facilities is available for reservation. The special-use camping area is designated for group camping, with nonprofit organizations and youth groups having priority. This area features vault toilets, water, picnic tables and fire rings. When not reserved, the area is open for general use. The fee for use of the area is $2 per person, per night. To reserve the area for your group, call 636-464-2976.

  • 8 a.m. to one-half hour after sunset, daily, year-round

Museum hours

  • March 16 through Nov. 15
    9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday (closed noon to 1 p.m. for cleaning)
    Noon to 4 p.m., Sunday (closed Easter Sunday)
    Closed Monday and Tuesday
  • Nov. 16 through March 15
    11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday
    Noon to 4 p.m., Sunday
    Closed Monday through Thursday
    Closed Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas and New Year's days
