Special-Use Area

at Sam A. Baker State Park

The special-use camping area is for use by nonprofit organizations. It is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and may be reserved by calling the park. Organized youth groups (Scouts, 4-H, church, etc.) have priority. The area has picnic tables, fire rings and a vault toilet. The visitor center is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed from noon to 1 p.m. for cleaning.
