Special-Use Area

at Hawn State Park

The special-use camping area is designated for group camping, with nonprofit organizations and youth groups having priority. It includes one area for camping. There is a water spigot and a fire ring in this area. This area accommodates groups of up to 50 people. Scouts or other educational/youth groups can check out a flag to use in the special-use area when they get to the park.

The fee for use of the area is $2 per person, per night. For more information or to reserve the area for your group, call 573-883-3603.

On the following days (actual or observed), staff will not be available and park buildings will be closed: Thanksgiving Day; Nov. 29, 2024; Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; New Year’s Eve; New Year’s Day; Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Lincoln’s Birthday; and Presidents Day. 

Park Grounds

  • Year-round:
    6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday
    6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday
    Entrance gates open and close at these times.
