Special-Use Area

at Hawn State Park

Organized youth groups can reserve the park's special-use camping area. It includes one area for camping. There is a water spigot and fire ring in this area. This camping area can accommodate groups of up to 50 people.

Scouts or other educational/youth  groups can check out a flag to use in the special-use area when they make their reservation with the park office. For more information or to reserve the special-use camping area, please call the park office at 573-883-3603.

  • Summer Hours (On-Season)
    March 15 through Nov. 14
    7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Winter Hours (Off-Season)
    Nov. 15 through March 14
    7:30 a.m. to sunset

Entrance gates open and close at these times. 

Park Office hours

April through October (on-season)
Noon to 4 p.m., Thursday through Monday

November through March (off-season)
8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Tuesday and Thursday through Friday
Closed on state holidays during the off-season
