Camp Derricotte Beautification Day

6/3/2023 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

Cuivre River State Park will host Camp Derricotte Beautification Day on Saturday, June 3, to help staff prepare the camp for incoming summer camps. Camp Derricotte has been a part of the Troy community for over 80 years and has served thousands of underprivileged youth, local civic groups, and family groups during that time.

During the event, volunteers will assist staff with a variety of camp beautification projects that will spruce up the camp for visitors. Projects will include cleaning camp dishes, sweeping out the buildings, blowing leaves, and more! The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon, but volunteers can stay for as little or as long as they want. Volunteers should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. to check in and sign paperwork. A hamburger and hot dog lunch will be provided.

Scout and civic groups are encouraged to join us; we just ask that children have plenty of adult helpers. There will projects for volunteers of all ages.

To ensure there are enough supplies and lunches for everyone, preregistration is required. Call the park office at 636-528-7247 for more information or to register.

Event Time: 9 a.m. - noon
