Historical Haunts at the Homestead

10/21/2023 | Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site | Ash Grove, MO

Join the staff at Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead for an evening of storytelling and history!

We’ll kick off the night at 6 p.m. with local favorite storytellers Mike and Nancee Micham – collectively known as "EznDil" – as they share family-friendly spooky stories. This hourlong program will take place at the picnic shelter, located near the site office.

At 7 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to stroll the site’s lantern-lit gravel path en route to the historic cemeteries and the Boone home to learn how the residents of the Boone Homestead dealt with death and the loss of loved ones.

Limited seating is available in the shelter; please plan to bring a lawn chair and a flashlight, and dress for the weather. This event may be canceled due to inclement weather; for the most up-to-date cancellation information, call the site office at 417-751-3266, or visit our Facebook page

Event Time: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
