Join staff from Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site and representatives the Barton County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate Truman's 139th birthday on May 6, 2023. The town of Lamar will step back in time and celebrate the decades of Truman's life from 1884 through Word War I – when Truman was a captain – to World War II – when he was president. The event will feature historical demonstrations, vendors, and musical entertainment.
