Historic Harvest

10/1/2022 | Weston Bend State Park | Weston, MO

Fall is on the way, and it’s time to hang the tobacco and make apple cider! Weston was once a hub in the tobacco and apple cider industries, and we are keeping those traditions alive.

Join park staff for a guided tour of the historic tobacco barn. Hear the history of agriculture in the Weston area, and see where and how tobacco was treated after it left the field. Then, stop by a vintage cider press demonstration to see how apple cider was made on the farm at the turn of the century.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the park office at 816-640-5443.
