Visit Roaring River State Park on March 1 for Opening Day! This is a time-honored tradition dating back to 1928, when Roaring River became a state park. Come and join us on this day and catch your limit of four fish. Then take your catch of the day to the park’s new state-of-the-art cleaning and fillet station at the end of Campground 3.
In addition to premier trout fishing, visitors to Roaring River can enjoy miles of hiking trails, lodging, camping and on-site dining facilities, and can see the deepest cave spring in the United States, with a current depth of 472 feet.
The park store will open at 9 a.m. on Feb. 28 and stay open until 7 p.m. March 1. The restaurant will be open from noon to 7 p.m. on Feb. 28 and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 1.
