The staff and volunteers of Magnificent Missouri and the Mid-Eastern Section of Katy Trail State Park invite the public to join them in celebration of the 10th Annual Treloar Elevator Party on Sunday, Oct. 18. Activities planned for the day include tram rides to the historic Peers Store, live music and food, along with a public informational meeting with park staff. The meeting will take place at the Treloar Trailhead at 1 p.m.
Treloar Elevator Party activities will begin at noon and will provide visitors an opportunity to tour historic Treloar Mercantile, view the corn sculpture, see old-time thrashers in action and enjoy an afternoon of music and food. The event is hosted in partnerships with Katy Land Trust, Marthasville Volunteer Fire Department and other local organizations.
This section of trail is part of the Country Store Corridor that spans 3.5 miles from Peers to Treloar with magnificent views of the Peers Prairie, adjoining agricultural landscapes and fall scenery. For more information about the event, call Graham Cave State Park at 573-564-3476.
