Celebrate National Trails Day on June 6 by participating in a guided hike through the open woodland on Knob Noster State Park's Hawk Nest Trail. This hike is about 2 miles long and is expected to last about two hours. Hikers are expected to encounter dirt-surface trail with shifting rocks, slippery surfaces, roots, wood or stone steps, and some steep grades or inclines. This hike is of moderate difficulty. Children and leashed four-legged friends are welcome.
Please dress for the weather and bring water and a snack. Meet at the Hawk Nest Trailhead by Buteo Lake and the kayak hut at 2:30 p.m. to begin the hike.
Hike Time: 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
