Postponed: Historical Children's Festival

5/16/2020 | First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site | St. Charles, MO

This event has been postponed and will be held in conjunction with the historic site's Statehood Day event on Aug. 8. Check back later for more information.

Come celebrate Kids to Parks Day at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site's annual Historical Children's Festival. Come live and play as children in the 1820s did. Hear interesting stories about life in St. Charles when our first legislators were struggling to organize Missouri into statehood.

Children can pick up a passport and journey through the 1820s while participating in hands-on period activities like butter churning, quill pen writing, washboard and tub, and more to earn prizes. Activities will also include reenactment groups, period skills demonstrations, music and more! There is something fun for everyone! This is a free, family event.
