Butterfly Blossom Hike

3/21/2020 | Bennett Spring State Park | Lebanon, MO

Join park staff in the search for zebra swallowtail butterflies and paw paw tree blossoms in preparation for this year’s fall paw paw fruit contest, which will conclude on Sept. 26.

Learn how and where to look for paw paw trees. These trees produce a fruit that is loved by wildlife and is recognized as the official state fruit of Missouri. The zebra swallowtail uses the paw paw as its host plant.

Meet at the Savanna/Natural Tunnel Trailhead just past the cabins at the Spring Head.

Hike Time: 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
