Summer On-Season Kickoff

Friday, May 22

• 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Discovery Table: Photo Scavenger Hunt – Campground Entrance
  Park interpretive staff will be launching a Washington State Park Photo Scavenger Hunt Contest for this weekend all about photography! Stop by the Discovery Table to pick up your scavenger hunt instructions. Prizes will be awarded Sunday, May 24.

Saturday, May 23

• 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Picture Perfect Petroglyph Tour and Nature Photography Hike – Petroglyph Site
  Join park staff for a history lesson about the park's petroglyphs. Hotep Photography will be on hand to give tips on photographing these amazing cultural resources.
• 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Nature Photography 101 – Campground Amphitheater
  Representatives from Hotep Photography will give a presentation on nature photography. They will discuss helpful tricks and tips for photographing flora, fauna and natural landscapes; equipment and recommend settings; and how to best capture nature memories. 

Sunday, May 24

• 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Scavenger Hunt Contest Awards – Campground Amphitheater
  Park staff will wrap up this weekend all about photography and visual media and hand out awards for the weekend's scavenger hunt contest. Top prizes to be awarded include a photo package from Hotep Photography, a free one-night camping coupon from Missouri State Parks or being featured in the Washington State Park Facebook page's cover photo for one month. There will also be general participation prizes.

Please dress accordingly for this outdoor experience. All events are weather and conditions permitting and subject to change.
