7/25/2020 | Ha Ha Tonka State Park | Camdenton, MO
Ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what all of the glittering bodies are? Are they planets? Are they moons? Stars? Join the Camden County Astronomy Association and find out the answers to all of these questions. A range of telescopes will be set up for you to gaze on these astronomical features.
We will meet at the lower castle parking lot and hike to the carriage house. On our short hike to the telescopes, we will discuss how early explorers used the stars to find their way.
To get to the lower castle parking lot, turn onto State Road D off of U.S. Highway 54. Follow State Road D for approximately 1.8 miles. Turn right onto Castle Ruins Road; the parking lot will be on your right.
Hike Time: 8:30 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.
