Missouri Young Birders Club

11/8/2019 | Knob Noster State Park | Knob Noster, MO

Join Knob Noster State Park's chapter of the Missouri Young Birders Club!

This month's meeting will consist of a very special event: Northern Saw-whet owl bird banding at the Missouri River Bird Observatory! MRBO has been banding these birds in central Missouri since 2010 and in Arrow Rock since 2014.

Members, new and seasoned, will meet at the Missouri River Bird Observatory office, located at 3920 Highway 41, Nelson MO 65347. The office is the historic Lawless House in Arrow Rock. The house is not located in the main part of town but near the Arrow Rock State Historic Site visitor center sign. Look for the MRBO banner at the end of the driveway. Members are not expected to stay the entire time, but banding will last until 9 or 10 p.m. Remember to dress for the weather.

RSVP to this exclusive Missouri Young Birders Club banding night by emailing Paige Witek at paige.witek@mrbo.org or calling 660-837-3888.

Interested in attending Northern Saw-whet owl banding but cannot make the scheduled night? Not to worry! MRBO will announce other dates open to the public on their Facebook page.
