Corps of Discovery Day

9/14/2019 | Weston Bend State Park | Weston, MO

In the early 1800s, methods for cutting wood, cooking and even playing games were different from those used today. Stroll around the park and view demonstrations of crosscut sawing and cooking with cast iron. Meet reenactors who will discuss the Lewis and Clark Discovery Expedition of St. Charles, and be sure to interact with some majestic Newfoundland dogs, just like the one Meriwether Lewis had by his side! You can even take a turn at playing old-fashioned games while exploring the area.

All activities will be held at the day-use shelter and historic tobacco barn. For more information, please contact the park office at 816-640-5443.
