Drawn to Nature

6/8/2019 | Thousand Hills State Park | Kirksville, MO

Art is a wonderful way to draw a bridge connecting us to nature. We are welcoming people ages 12 and up of all artistic abilities to join the park naturalist in drawing, coloring and painting their way to get in touch with the natural world!

This program consists of four art sessions that build upon one another. Start off by copying natural objects in your surroundings. Then, begin to depict these objects in a more personal way: How does a mighty oak or a lovely flower make you feel? Translate these feelings into line and color - put them to paper - and reconnect with nature!

Supplies for coloring, drawing and painting will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own if they wish.

This program is free to attend, but space is limited. Registration is required. Please call the park office to register at 660-665-6995.

Event time: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
