Battle of Athens Reenactment

8/3/2019 to 8/4/2019 | Battle of Athens State Historic Site | Revere, MO

Come to the historic site for a reenactment of the Aug. 5, 1861, Battle of Athens Civil War battle. Reenactors will also perform drills and have medical and civilian scenarios.  Other activities will include living history and demonstrations by sutlers, artisans, period craftsmen and musicians.  Food, crafts and memorabilia will be available for sale.

Please bring a lawn chair or blanket as seating is limited. We welcome all to join us for this fun family event! The Battle of Athens Civil War Reenactment is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Missouri Civil War Reenactors Association and is free and open to the public.

  • 9 a.m. - Camps Open
  • 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. -  Free Tours of the Cannonball House and Museum
  • 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Artisans and Sutlers Open
  • 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Free Tours of the Cannonball House and Museum
  • 1 p.m. - Battle Reenactment
  • 3 p.m. - Traditional Civil War Reenactment
Sunday
  • 9 a.m. - Camps Open
