Earth Day Celebration: Protecting Species Diversity

4/20/2019 | Roaring River State Park | Cassville, MO

Join us for Earth Day 2019 as we learn about protecting endangered species. Roaring River is home to several species of conservation concern. Come learn what we do, and how you can help these special plants and animals. Festivities will be held at the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center.

Crafts and activities will be held at the nature center throughout the day with help from the East Newton High School Service Club. The Missouri Department of Conservation will be handing out free trees at the nature center all day! Other guests from the Ozark Chinquapin Foundation will be sharing information about how they help preserve species diversity in Missouri.

This is a free event open to the public. For more information about the event, contact a park naturalist at the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center at 417-847-3742. Click here to read the news release.
