Join us for Kites Over Lafayette County! Battle of Lexington and Confederate Memorial state historic sites have great locations to fly a kite to celebrate April as National Kite Month! Battle of Lexington State Historic Site will have kite flying on the historic battlefield and Confederate Memorial State Historic Site has several places in the park to fly your kite! Both sites have 40 kites to hand out on a first-come, first-serve basis (one kite per family please). In case of inclement weather, indoor activities will be located at the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site visitor center.
