Historical Children's Festival

5/18/2019 to 5/19/2019 | First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site | St. Charles, MO

Come celebrate the city of St. Charles Sestercentennial and National Kids to Parks Day at the historic site’s annual Historical Children's Festival. Come live and play as children in the 1820s did. Hear interesting stories about life in St. Charles when our first legislators were struggling to organize Missouri into statehood. Children can pick up a passport and journey through the 1820s while participating in period hands-on activities like butter churning, quill pen writing, wash board and tub and more to earn prizes. Activities will also include re-enactment groups, period skills demonstrations, music and more! Fun for everyone! This is a free, family event. Click here to read the news release.

Event times:
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
