Bison Hike

5/4/2019 | Prairie State Park | Mindenmines, MO

Spring has arrived and with it come new sights, sounds and smells on the prairie. Birds are active, some migrating to areas farther north and some are here for the summer to raise their brood. The bison are here to stay with their calves. Come out for a guided bison hike. Don't forget your cameras! Be prepared for a 2-mile hike over uneven terrain. Bringing water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful in looking at bison as well as other wildlife that we may see. Dress for the weather. Please call 417-843-6711 to register.
