7/28/2018 | Bennett Spring State Park | Lebanon, MO
Join volunteer Jim Welch as he leads participants on the 2.5-mile loop Savanna Trail. A portion of the Savanna Ridge Trail makes use of roads used by people living in the area from the 1840s to present. It narrows and crosses natural rock areas. The trail winds through an open woodland and along a ridge of Spring Hollow. A portion of the trail includes a prescribed burned open woodland, which has resulted in wildflowers.
Bring water, comfortable shoes and bug spray. Meet at the Natural Tunnel Trail trailhead located above Bennett Spring and past park cabins.
Hike time: 10 a.m.
