9/15/2018 | Graham Cave State Park | Danville, MO
Come on out and meet our special guests monarch and black swallowtail caterpillars as they help naturalist Lorie Volenberg relay their life cycle stories. You will hear about their cool transformations, what they like to eat and where they go in the winter. We might even have a few butterflies to release! After the 30-minute program, Volenberg will guide you on a .3-mile, moderate to rugged hike in search of caterpillars and butterflies on Fern Ridge Trail in Graham Cave Glades Natural Area.
Hikers are encouraged to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and to bring a bottle of water. Insect repellent is strongly recommended.
