Join Washington State Park staff for an overnight campout and chance to view the Perseid meteor shower! A meteor program will take place during the evening for participants. The overnight campout and viewing will be at the Petroglyph Site. The campout and viewing is for tent (with no stakes) and open air camping only. Camping is only allowed on the parking lot at the site; no camping on the grass, adjacent glade or petroglyphs. No individual campfires are allowed, but a community fire pit will be provided. Portable toilet facilities will be available. There is no electricity or water at the site. No generators are allowed. Guests will check in at the petroglyph site between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday evening to set up for the overnight campout and viewing. There will then be an edible meteor program at 9 p.m. Check out is Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
This event is free but reservations are required to attend. The event is only open to registered overnight guests. Reservations can be made beginning June 1.
