Civilian Conservation Corps Structures

3/1/2018 to 10/31/2018 | Bennett Spring State Park | Lebanon, MO

The nature center has self-guided tour brochures of the many Civilian Conservation Corp structures within Bennett Spring State Park. Company 1772 consisted of young men, mostly World War I veterans, who built structures between 1933 and 1937. These structures, many made of local natural stone, made the park the angler's paradise it is today. The nature center also has exhibits relating to the early history of the park.
