Twilight Trek and Taste

This event will begin with a guided lantern-led twilight hike on the base of the 1,000 Step Trail. At the end of the hike, guests will arrive at the Big River Day-Use Area shelter, where they will sample hors d'oeuvres provided by the park concessionaire, Missouri Park Adventures. Guests will also receive complimentary wine tastings from local wineries, including Edg-Clif Vineyards and Bardenheier Wine Cellars (Richwoods, Missouri). Additional purchases from the local wineries are optional. 

There are a limited number of spots available for this event and reservations are required to participate. Reservations must be made at the park office by calling 636-586-5768 or visiting the office in person. A nonrefundable reservation fee of $5 per person is due at time of reservation in order to reserve attendance for this event. Reservations will be accepted beginning on Jan. 29. All participants must be age 21 and over. 

The hike on the base of the 1,000 Step Trail is approximately 0.5 mile long on natural surface with some moderate difficulty. Guests participating are asked to bring a flashlight or battery-operated lantern for the hike and to dress accordingly for this outdoor experience.
