Weekend Interpretive Programs

10/27/2017 to 10/28/2017 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

Friday
  • 8 p.m. - The Crawling Dead
Out in the woods, there are zombies all among us … their minds and bodies are not their own. What are these real-life zombies? Where can they be found? And who or what is making them this way? Join the naturalist at the amphitheater as we discover the real “crawling dead” in nature, and learn how you can become an animal zombie hunter.
Saturday
  • 2 p.m. - Frenchman’s Bluff Scavenger Hunt Hike
Join the naturalist for a fun scavenger hunt hike along the scenic Frenchman’s Bluff Trail. Meet at the trailhead at the stone shelter.
  • 7 p.m. - The Big Cats of Missouri
The forests of Missouri have long been habitat for large cats. The bobcat, while very secretive, is found nearly statewide. The mountain lion is a rare visitor to the state, but their appearances have been more frequent in recent years. Join the naturalist at the amphitheater to learn more about Missouri’s big cats.
