As you hike the short, kid friendly Barefoot Sam Trail, you will discover storybook page boards that will lead you through a story as you venture down the half-mile trail. The story book will be geared toward children from preschool to third grade and will be a winter theme tale of animal life in the woods. All ages will enjoy the hike around the peninsula viewing the edge of the lake
Hot cocoa and snacks will await hikers at the end of the trail during the listed times. The historic site will be open as well. Call the historic site to register for this event or if you have questions.
