- 7 p.m. - Campground Safety - Campground Amphitheater
Do you know how to camp safely? Learn the dos and don’ts to make every camping stay a safe and fun experience. - 7:30 p.m. – Safety Hike - Campground Amphitheater
Join Washington State Park interpretive staff on this guided hike to learn what dangers lurk in the woods. This one-half-mile hike will teach you how to take precautions to coexist with nature and hike happily. Appropriate attire, water and a flashlight are recommended for this experience.
Saturday
- 2 p.m. - Petroglyph and Glade Tour – Petroglyph Site
This guided interpretive walk highlights two of Washington State Park's unique features. The walk begins with a tour of the ancient Native American rock carvings and will then venture out onto the glade, where visitors will learn about life on this landscape. - 4 p.m. - River Bottom Walk - Thunderbird Lodge
Join Washington State Park interpretive staff for a guided walk along the bottom of 1,000 Step Trail and the Big River flood plain. The trail is approximately 1 mile over paved and natural surface. - 7 p.m. - Bike Safety – Shelter #2/Big River Day-Use Area Shelter
Biking is a fun activity when done safely. At this program, learn how to safely operate your bicycle and the rules of the road. - 7:30 p.m. - Moonlight Bike Ramble – Shelter #2/Big River Day-Use Area Shelter
After the bike safety program, bring your bike and join us for a bike ride along the river bottom road at dusk.
Sunday
- 9 a.m. - Nature Hour - Campground Amphitheater
Join the Washington State Park interpretive staff for this nature hour all about bike safety. Color your own bike safety coloring book to remember all of the bike safety tips and tricks.
