Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic kicked off a new season of "Third Saturdays at the Homestead" on July 15. Explore and interact with Missouri's frontier past through a variety of hands-on activities. Programs will be hosted at a variety of locations throughout the site and are appropriate for all ages. All events are free and open to the public.

No two homes were built alike on the Missouri frontier. Explore the small details that make the Nathan and Olive Boone Home a true masterpiece. Costumed interpretive staff will be set up outside the Boone Home demonstrating period tools and techniques.

Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear and bring plenty of water to drink. In the event of inclement weather, events may be canceled.
